Green Day, Straight Line Stitch New Albums

Good news in the music world. The Awesome as F**k live album by Green Day is in stores today, as well as Straight Line Stitch's The Fight of Our Lives. I've been hyping these for a month and a half now, and I'm excited to finally see how they turned out.
A Green Day concert is always crazy - Bullet in a Bible, their last live album, proved that. (For as much as they smoke, they can really jump around.) But in some ways, I was disappointed by the actual album, 21st Century Breakdown. It seemed like an identical storyline to American Idiot - there were no references to the memorable characters of the latter, such as Saint Jimmy and Whatsername, so I assumed it was not a continuation. It still had some good ones, like "Peacemaker" and "Horseshoes and Handgrenades;" I even liked the sappy softness of "Last Night on Earth." I just liked American Idiot better.
As for the new Straight Line Stitch album, I've only checked out the song "Conversion," which I've already shared on this blog. Their music videos are getting better, which is exciting; I thought songs like "Black Veil" and "Remission" deserved better treatments than they got (pun intended). We'll see how the album holds up.
