Twisted Love Songs: "The Promise," In This Moment ft. Adrian Patrick

The screams in this song alone - wow. Frontwoman Maria Brink is as well known for her primal screams as she is for her Alice-in-Wonderland-gone-Goth wardrobe. Mix in Adrian Patrick, from Vegas metal outfit Otherwise (who looks just like Wolverine's half-bro Victor), and you've got some pretty powerful vocals. Fun fact: Brink wrote the song with Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody in mind, but he had to drop out due to record label issues. In Brink's own words, "[t]his song is about when you are madly in love with somebody, but you know that you’re dangerous for that person and vice versa. They’re dangerous for you even though you crave them. You want it more than anything, even though you know it will end badly."
